Congressman Steve Buyer and Congressman Lane Evans are honored at the Marine Corps Sunset Parade

On June 20, 2006 Congressman Steve Buyer (IN-04) was honored along with Congressman Lane Evans (IL-17) for their service on the House Committe on Veterans' Affairs as guests of honor at the Sunset Parade at the Marine Corps War Memorial--also known as Iwo Jima which overlooks the Potomac River and Arlington Cemetery. The parade included the Marine Corps Band and Silent Drill Team. The parade takes place each Tuesday evening during the summer and allows those visiting Washington, D.C. to view the Marines and honor our fallen heroes.
